One of the best things about running a small business is the chance to meet your customers and really make a difference to them. Sometimes just the word “thanks” – which is so often forgotten in a big corporate environment – makes all the difference.

Which is why receiving an email like this really brightens your day…

Dear Jonathan,

I would like to thank you for providing an absolutely fantastic service. Dad was thrilled with his laptop and has also been overwhelmed by the efficiency, patience and professional manner with which you helped to set it up. According to mum he now needs to be surgically removed from the thing! We’ve created a monster!

He had a very special birthday and it wasn’t easy not being with him but knowing that you were there to provide the finishing touches to his present and sort out any difficulties helped so much. Thank you – I really appreciate your help.
