…apart from my suspicions being confirmed. Yes, there are problems with the intake manifold. Yes, it’s broken and, worse still, at some point in the past it had been removed and replaced incorrectly.
The good news is that when it’s fixed, she should not only perform better (and I thought she was pretty hot already) but also more economically. Blimey.
The bad news – new inlet manifold is just over £500, plus fitting etc. etc.
Parts ordered, will be going back soon to have the work done, when I will also post a more thorough report on EMS. Worth a visit if only to see the rather gorgeous collection of cars in the showroom.
