Every now and then a bit of software, a gadget or a website comes along and makes the inhabitants of Geek Towers go “wow”.
When you’re setting up a PC there’s a lot of time wasted adding the extra software that makes it useful. A bit of Flash, some Java, a PDF reader. Antivirus, perhaps a CD burner or media player. Lots of websites to visit, boxes to tick and downloads to complete.
It seems that every install comes with not only a list of agreements to tick, but a host of other software to untick. If I wanted strangetoolbar or naffsecurityscanner included in my download, I would have gone to naffsecurityscanner.com in the first place.
Which is why the Geek officially loves ninite.com.
Most of the useful software you are going to want is probably on ninite.com. Tick the ones you want, get the installer and away it goes. No license agreements, extra downloads, hunting for websites or time wasting.
