Out with the old…I want to strike a balance between budget and quality, so I was really pleased to find these nice cheap 4-inch Riesen speakers at Maplin. Not only do they sound great, they also fit the old speaker location perfectly. Not bad considering how tight things are inside the door.
Side-by-sideThe only changes I had to make were to cut away the back of the old plastic weather protector (shouldn’t really be a problem) and change the spade terminal on the positive speaker wire connection. If I ever have to do more major work on the doors, I will change the speaker wire altogether.
