A Bank Holiday with forecasts of good weather – what better time to get under an MG?
Today’s job was replacing the old flexible brake lines with nice new stainless-steel Goodrich replacements – a set of 2 front and 1 rear from MGOC Spares. While under the bonnet I popped the new fan belt on, changed the gearbox / overdrive oil and sprayed the carbs with a nice dose of 10k Boost engine cleaner.
Out with the old…
…and in with the newBest thing of the day was the Eezi-bleed, making replacing the brake fluid a lot easier. Worst thing was the weather, which turned to torrential downpours which resulted in me finishing the job lying in a puddle. Second to that is the new concern that the rear brakes are binding.
